TaylorMade M4 #4 Hybrid 22° Graphite Senior Men's Right
Who's It For?
The M4 Rescue from TaylorMade is replacing the 2017 M2 Rescue and like its predecessor should be popular among mid- and high-handicappers who are looking to replace their long irons or upgrade their hybrids. From a playability standpoint, the M4 will provide naturally high launch conditions and impressive ball speed numbers. Additionally, it will also offer a natural draw bias, which will prove to be beneficial for a wide array of players. For those who are looking to establish a fade bias with their hybrids, however, or want movable weight technology to create the exact trajectory and shot shape that they’re looking for, the M3 Rescue would be a better option.
The Tech Story
From a technology standpoint, TaylorMade’s M4 Rescue shares some of the same innovations that drive performance in the new M4 fairway woods. That list is headlined by a revamped Speed Pocket that provides better ball speed protection on low-face strikes and a new split-weight mass pad that enables weight to be pushed to the perimeter of the clubhead to effectively enlarge the sweet spot, which will improve results on shots hit from the heel or toe. The M4’s Geocoustic sole design also makes it easier to play shots from more difficult lies while also working in unison with a fluted hosel to improve sound and feel at impact.
