TaylorMade Sim Max #4 Iron Graphite Stiff Men's Right
Who’s It For?
TaylorMade has been adding resources to its development of irons in recent years and has made significant progress, specifically in the feel department. The SIM Max irons are being tabbed by TaylorMade as the best feeling distance iron the company has ever released. The SIM Max irons fall into the game-improvement category thanks to its thicker shape and low center of gravity, which is perfect for golfers looking for distance and forgiveness from their irons.
The Tech Story
The SIM Max irons from TaylorMade are highlighted by Speed Bridge technology, which can be seen crossing over the cavity back of the iron. The Speed Bridge connects the topline with the sole of the club, generating improved stability throughout the entire clubhead and better sound and feel. Further improving feel is the ECHO Damping System implemented within the clubhead which consists of energy channeling geometry to quickly eliminate harsh vibrations at impact and produce a better feel and sound without sacrificing any face flexing. The Speed Pocket featured on the sole is a patented TaylorMade technology that is designed to enhance face flexibility at impact and improve performance on mis-hits, specifically contact made low on the face. The clubface is built ultra-thin at 1.5mm with Progressive Inverted Cone Technology to maximize the sweet spot area and generate extreme ball speeds. Additionally, the SIM Max irons are built with a low center of gravity thanks to a lightweight fluted hosel, a 360 undercut, and the ultra-thin face that shift weight to lower in the clubhead. The result is easy, high launch with penetrating ball flights.
